Dr Kenneth Omona has formally handed over his office to the new Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the President, Gloria Asio Omaswa.

Following a recent cabinet reshuffle by President Museveni, Dr Omona was appointed as the Minister of State for Northern Uganda, while Omaswa assumed the role of the new PPS.

The handover ceremony took place at the Office of the President in Kampala.

Hajj Yunus Kakande, the Secretary-Office of the President, represented Babirye Milly Babalanda, the Minister for Presidency, as the Chief Guest.

He expressed gratitude to Dr. Omona for his outstanding work.

Kakande also acknowledged Dr Omona's fortunate circumstances, as he received another appointment from President Museveni, considering it as a vote of confidence in his capabilities as the former PPS.

"On behalf of Babalanda, I extend my congratulations to Dr. Omona for his promotion to the ministerial position. Having worked closely with the President, this appointment signifies the trust and faith that the President has in you. Many individuals have left that office without being redeployed anywhere," he stated.

He also advised the new PPS to demonstrate empathy towards Ugandans and promote teamwork.

He emphasized that by doing so, her work would be executed with ease.
